Default The Walking Dead Episode 5 Save Issues

Hello,

I have looked around the forums here, on Steam, and basically on any other site which may have anything related to my issue. First, some background. I was able to play episodes 1 through 4 without any problems. Then when 5 came out I booted it up and no saves appeared. The weird thing is, is that I can see my saves in the C:\Users\Name\Documents\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead folder. But, I cannot access them. Whenever I start the game it merely has three empty save slots saying "New Game". I really want to play episode 5, this has been one of my more enjoyable experiences this past year. Until this issue I had no complaints with the game.

Now, I have tried some solutions. I have copied the prefs.prop file into the Steam folder, I have also tried the fix to add in another folder in the Public Documents folder and put my saves in there. Both did not work.

If anyone has any idea of a fix, or somewhere I could be pointed; either would be very helpful.

Feel free to ask for any more information.

Thanks.

I have the same issue, see my thread, bump it if you'd like. They seem to be aware of the issue but have no interest in actually fixing it or creating a workaround.

Reverting the prefs.prop file to an older version fixed this issue for me, and I was able to continue where I had left off. Right click on the prefs.prop file and select properties, click on the tab called Previous Versions, select a version and hit Restore. Hope that helps!
