Question Sam & Max Season One Retail Version Disc Packaging

There was a thread made back in July by Jake stating the retail version would use a jewel case and not paper sleeves. Unfortunately, it did come in paper sleeves which annoyed me when I opened it back in December and seems it still does given I'm posting about it now a month later. I didn't see any other thread about this so I thought I'd give a heads up.

I hope season two won't be the same...

I had been told jewel case, but in the end I was misinformed (and disappointed). Sorry about that

We requested jewel cases early on in the process and that's what we were told they would be. We didn't know otherwise until we bought a copy at the store and saw that the CDs were in envelopes.

Luckily the instruction booklet is jewel case sized, and you can easily slip it and the CDs into your own jewel case if you want.

Ah, you all knew already. Well, that's really what I wanted to make sure of because that was very dishonest of AC to promise such a thing and not do it.

Anyway, it's no biggie now considering how many times I've replayed the season; it's resting in the box cooling off.

I don't think they were intentionally dishonest. More likely it was something they wanted to do, but in the end weren't able to for whatever reason. It happens, unfortunately.

On the plus side, we're pretty happy with how the box came out. The fold-out panel with the Sam & Max timeline on it is pretty sweet.
