Default Wanted to buy the game for Christmas

Should i wait to see if the glitches will be patched? Or buy it and take the risk? I really wanted to play this game. I was hoping it would come to a last resort to just buy all the episodes threw xbox live but I might just have too.

Definitely wait. There's currently a glitch which is causing players to get stuck on the train in Episode 3, because one of the switches isn't recognized by the cursor.

They don't seem to really care, they're just cutting and pasting their responses in this forum, asking for system specs to confuse the issue, like its our fault or something. There's almost no chance that someone could actually finish the game as is on Christmas morning. It'll glitch, or erase their save, could be anything.

Personally I just want my money back at this point, I have 4 and 5, but can't play them 'cause of the Switch Glitch.

Such a shame. Are the downloaded episodes any less buggy then the retail version?

I've got the download version. It's a great game, I was gushing praise for it just days ago. Now, stuck on a train, waitin' in the rain . . . for a patch.

The patch has to go through a long process, and its both the disc (choppy video, freezing, camera glitches), and the DLC (save disasters and Switch Glitch) that have issues. Theres no way that somebody could open this on Christmas and be able to finish it without glitching out in one eay or another. No patch could be ready in time.

Incredible content, such a shame indeed.

Well crap. Has the switch glitch been happening to everyone or just a large amount of people?

I really wanted to play this masterpiece of a story. Very disappointed.

I have personally played and enjoyed all first 4 episodes of the game as downloaded content on the day they were each released. I ran into no such issue as the train switch glitch and merely encountered some low framerates in a few rare circumstances (mainly in episode 2). Everything else ran pretty smoothly and I absolutely loved every minute of it.

However, I've grown attached to my choices in the first 4 episodes and I have read about the save issue on episode 5 that wipes out your games. Now I'm waiting for an official word on the patch before I launch my game again. I've already purchased episode 5 DLC.

This was going to be one serious contender for my GOTY. Once they fix it, you definitely need to play it all!

Thank you. I think i will feel safer just downloading all the episodes and going for it. I have watched countless play thoughts of this game and the story itsself is amazing. I will play this game glitches and all, just for the story.
