Default Any update on a patch?

Is there any progress being made? Is a patch even being worked on? I'd like to be able to play season 2, but it's hard when you can't have complete faith in the product you're buying. This has been going on since episode 4 released; the extremely slow response time makes me wary to buy Telltale games in the future.

I feel exactly the same, just bought all 5 episodes in the last two days and all I can say is I'm completely disgusted with this game and company. I mean I've just done what I usually condemn people for and registered on a forum for the sole purpose of complaining.
I've never seen such a terribly built game and what's disgusting further is they're individual release's so you'd accept either they'd have fixed the game breaking features (horrendous frame rates on action scenes (only cause's for game overs for me), game freeze's (requiring reloading game), MAJOR bugs (I'd disappear entirely where people suffered the train glitch unable to click on anything) AND LASTLY royally pissing me off to have my entire game save wiped TWICE once loading episode 5!
I've just bought this little collection of hell so it's not even like I've got it day one THIS SHIT SHOULD BE FIXED BY NOW.
Here in england we have a law that states if something is not fit for purpose or in satisfactory working order you get your money back...Why do I not see that happening somehow hmmm?
Last gripe, I recommended this game to friends after just playing episode 1 thinking "what an amazing game! A few minor bugs but surely they'll iron those out" NOT GET PROGRESSIVELY WORSE...And now I'm getting crap for recommending your game so cheers.
Biggest shame because underneath all these game breaking problems IS A FUCKING AWESOME GAME ...Shame I wont be buying season 2 as I really want to but cant trust your products

Per this post, they submitted a patch 11/30.

I lucked out, I read about the issues before losing my save. Here is what I did every time to play 3 and 4.
  • Load up the game
  • Delete save game in slot 3 (if this is your main save, be sure to copy it to slot 1)
  • Copy save from slot 1 to slot 3
  • Start up game from slot 3.

If the game starts up episode 1, just hit Start when you can and exit game and repeat the steps. Essentially, you keep slot 1 as your main save.

Unfortunately, these steps don't work for episode 5. No matter what I do, I get that "random selections will be made" as if my save file I'm starting with is empty. This never happened on 3 and 4.

Seriously this is how the majority of the players are feeling right now. The update on xbox live didnt change anything. All the stats from previous episodes are still wrong and the workaround by loading from a different save slot didnt help either. Just fix the damn problem this has been going on for months now an has left me unable to start episode 5. Pleeeeeeeease just fix it

I just registered here to see if someone (from Tell Tale mainly) can address my issue. I ignore this game's technical shortcomings until it actually affects my game. This is by far the sloppiest junk game Ive ever played. It's really puke inducing. Shame because before these issues it was my goty, hands down. Now please Tell Tale, how do I remedy not being able to start from my save point in episode 4, instead of starting episode 4 all over again :?

Such BS. My save got wiped and now it won't even let me play episode 5. It just keeps starting a new game. Unbelievable Telltale. Way to ruin a fantastic game. I'm done
