How awesome would it be if Tim Schafer and Dave Grossman got together in a darkened room in 1UP's HQ, and spent a whole HOUR talking about "Day of the Tentacle"?

It happened!

Check out the latest Retronauts podcast and hear two MAJOR adventure gaming legends reminisce about the old days (and the miracle of fax machines)...

I was there, and had to try very hard not to SQUEEEEE while the grown-ups were talking.

Should be good. I never get tired of stuff like this, and I feel Grossman never gets enough time in the spotlight.

Listening to it now. After about 6 minutes they start playing the DoTT-music extremely loud, making it almost impossible to hear what is being said. Hopefully they'll turn it off soon :P.

Never played day of the tentacle but I would like to know what psychonauts 2 could be like and the secret of monkey island.

Disney should just give over monkey rights. What's Disney going to do with monkey island anyway?

I've seen Puzzlebox in proximity to Tim Schafer and can vouch that she's not exaggerating here.

If we're lucky, the same thing they're doing with Marvel: bring in the best people to work on a new game (or in this case, maybe license it to the best people). We've seen a Telltale Monkey Island, and while I'd love another one of those, I'd also be very interested to see what sort of game Double Fine would put out.

Yeah, the music is very annoying, but it gets a lot better after a couple of minutes. There's a lot of good stuff in there as well, including Grossman who 'can't comment' on the possibility of a Telltale Tentacle sequel. Doesn't have to mean anything at all, but I'll take anything I can get.

Could someone who can hear well give us a transcript for this? The music is frigging loud and i cant hear a damn thing!

When did you download it? They have released a fixed version a few days ago.
