Walking Dead, keeping save file after app deletion

I've just finished The Walking Dead on my iPad and it was amazing. I want to be able to delete it to free up some room on my device, but I don't want to lose my save file as I've read that there are plans to have TWD Series 2 make use of the decisions made in Series 1.

Is there any way to make a backup of my save that I could keep for future use (either for Series 2 or just to view my decision stats) and delete the game from my iPad for now?

Yes.
Connect your iPad via USB to your PC/Mac.
Use iExplorer or Phoneview to access your iPad "Apps".
Find the Walking Dead app, navigate to Documents Folder, make a copy of prefs.pop and all .save files to your PC/Mac.

Thanks! My iPad has been acting up for months so I need to install from scratch only thing that has been holding me back is losing my saves for things like Walking Dead.

Now I can hopefully finally resolve my issue.

Awesome, thanks! I should probably back up all my other important app data too, while I'm at it.
