Default Clem shouldn't die just to make the story sadder

People say that Clementine dying will make season 2 much emotional and more dramatic than season 1 . Well I say NO !
Do people realise that if Clementine dies just for shock value and sadness than Lee's sacrifice would be for nothing , and that pretty much means that all of our choices for season 1 were all for nothing and if she dies than Lee will be forgotten forever and it would be a insult to those who loved him .
Just because this is The Walking Dead and that there is no happy ending it doesn't mean that Clementine has to die just to make season 2 emotional i mean we are going to have a new cast right ? They can season 2 emotional with the new protagonist and the new group .
To be honest if Clementine dies and we can't do anything about it than it would be a big middle finger to those sweet moments between Lee and Clem and that taking care of her and training her was pointless

I agree that she should live through Season 2, but at some point she will die, it's the way of the Walking Dead.

I have to agree that there is no point in killing Clemintine off, but who knows, maybe there will be an instance in Season 2 in which Telltale kills Clemintine off for the purpose of helping the story of Season 2.

One person who is probably hoping for Clem to die is Robert Kirkman.

Since it's TWD, it's a given that she's going to die at some point. But the game made me care about most of the characters who were even more obviously marked for death, so I'm sure they'll find a way to give her an emotional send-off if they choose to go that route. I knew from the start of TWD that Lee was going to be shot by Clem at the end and I was right! I still bawled like a baby.

Also, now Clementine have got a small part of Lee in her soul. Сhildrens look at adults and copy their behavior. Clem is not an exception. She will be like what was Lee. (not fully). Lee was like what was player. So, Clementine has got a small piece of player in her soul. And Clementine - it's a little piece of us. Do you want to tiny part of you, will die?

Nothing should ever happen "just to make the story sadder" or "more emotional." That's not a good reason for any decision! People who think that's how a story is put together are weird!

Kirkman won't be happy until everyone is dead, but there are so many people still alive in the books and they all fight so hard to stay that way! It's going to take him a while to be happy.

^LOL, wow that sounds bad coming from someone working with Telltale! And Kirkman actually made Clem shoot Lee just to toughen her up, so yeah, he likes that kind of stuff I guess xD

I don't know if it isn't a great reason, IF they can pull it off correctly. I mean, Heavy Rain was almost nothing BUT depression, and the game was awesome. The Walking Dead may have an excellent storyline, but the emotional tie-ins are what makes everyone fond to the characters. You need a way to connect the player to the people of the game, and some games use sad, messed up situations just for that. I'd say it is a 50/50 type thing

^ This Besides, I believe that if molded correctly and intelligently, anything can be pulled off well and be a good reason for a decision even if that is 'purely for the increased emotions'. Heck, that's probably why quite a lot of things happen as they do in films and games.
That correct mold is probably the hardest to make though (especially with TWD and the strong opinions for it) because of the need to make everyone 'satisfied' plot-wise. Even if a phenomenal story was made but at the cost of an untouchable character (one even more so than Lee...), it's as good as hated by the fans. It's a shame really but what can you do?

Okay so I'm weird, but hey, that's probably why you guys are there making beloved games and I'm here just posting on the forums
