Question Wallace & Gromit Episode 1 Crash!

When I try to open the game (Steam version) it closes without showing any window. I see in the process monitor that it opens and then closes.

I have Windows 8 Pro with a GFX 670.

With Windows 7 64b and a HD 4890 worked fine.

Please try unplugging all non essential USB devices, especially gamepads or joysticks.

I unplugged my gamepad and the game worked!!! Thanks! Why's that? I used to play it with the gamepad... any solution for that?

There seems to be some incompatibility between the new dinput8.dll Windows 8 provides and TTGs games. For some of the games users found workarounds by copying some older version of that file into the games install folder.
