Default Sam&Max Season2, launch game after install always fails

Nothing to problematic really, it's something I noticed. When a season2 installer finishes installing a S&M episode it offers the option to launch the game in the last page of the installer.

If I leave that checkbox checked it always causes some error 'DLL error' or such :

One hint perhaps; the game doesn't reach the connect-to-telltale stage before that error.

I've never been able to active using my account/password btw. Always have to use the serial-number. Which is ok, but I'm wondering why?

Now if you'll excuse me, got to find Bosco appearantly

Hmm, I'm not sure why it wouldn't start the game up from the installer, that's a new one on me. I'll have to think about it.

As to why you can't auto-unlock your game, that usually has something to do with a firewall or virus program preventing the connection to the SecuRom site. You could try disabling everything (don't forget the one in your router if you have one), but that is always a little risky anyway.
