Default The Celebrity Name Drops in Dangeresque 3

I have 4 of 6, and am borrowing from another thread to streamline

1: Use the phone right after the game starts, you'll phone THE COMISSIONER from Sam & Max
2: Click on the stick before you pluck the flower, you'll hear that Dangeresque framed the LORAX for murder.
3: Talk meanly to Bubs when he's in prison. Does get you a point, but I can't figure out what the celebrity name is
4: Show up at the club. Seems automatic, but if you have Perducci Shuffle the cards, you will get a SAM & MAX "EMBARASSING IDOL" card
5: Its not totally confirmed yet, but its at the Space station
6: In extended play, click on the cool car, you will see that the voice of the autopilot was provided by BILLY DEE WILLIAMS.

Confirmed. under further examination i realized that it isnt the tables. sorry about that. see my post below for the correction

1) Use the phone in the office at the beginning
2) Look at the stick before you pick the flower
3) Use the "Evil Strong Bad" option when talking to Bubs about himself in prison
4) Go to the Club (I did click the tables, but I thought I got this one just by walking into the club - I'd have to go back and confirm.)
5) Somewhere between the beginning of the Space Station sequence and the beginning of EP - hard to tell this one because you can't check your stats at that point
6) Look at the car in EP

Alright I'll do some confirmation tomorrow (something happens at the Club, on or two or three of the things that has been brought forward so far), but I'm outta here for now.

If anybody comes up with these things before I can confirm them, I'll happily close this thread with a link as the opening post, and link up to the thread that posts all.

I really don't want to feel like a douche, but we gotta get this stuff!

#1 Confirmed
#4 Its not the tables that give it to you (although that would be a good guess "telltale sign and all") its the Sam and Max card in Purducci's Deck (it has Sam and MAx on the reverse and the Embarassing Idol Time Card on the front)

For now I can confirm:
  • The phone call in the beginning to the comissioner
  • The Sam and Max card in Purducci's deck

I can't speak to the one regarding talking "evil" to bub...Diamonocle in prison mostly because I checked after doing that and after watching the "hostage" tape

I'm less sure about my #5. I was certain that I didn't have it just prior to the space station sequence, but I've gone back with a save from that point and haven't been able to get it.

Hey man, you're right. I went into the space station sequence with 4 (saved right before giving up the ruby), clicked on some stuff and went through the space station, came out in extended with 5.
Then I did it a second time, when I showed up at the station I automatically ranked up. I did the gameplay and NOTHING EXTRA to establish that it was at the station i.e.

shoot Homestar
rotate the space station
place diamond
kick block
rotate back
kick The Cheat
unlocked extended

AND BAM, I HAD 5!

I'm just stretching here, but... do you think the celeb name drops can also be celeb quote drops? I ask this because the only celeb-related thing I remember about the space station scene (which, admittedly, I don't remember very much about at all...) is Strong Bad saying "Hold on to your butts," which is a fairly well-known line from the first Jurasasic Park movie.

Hadn't thought about that. Though it makes sense.

I was thinking it might be when Craig mentions the Channel 5 Action News Team, but it doesn't appear to be so. I got that line and didn't get an additional name drop.

I ran through, and had 4 before giving up the ruby to travel to the sun. With being a quick run, I didn't do anything extra on the sun, and still got the 5th.
Does it matter whether you aim at Homestar or Strong Sad? I always aim at Homestar, but I don't think there's extra dialogue if you aim at Strong Sad (he gets hit anyways).

Well, I just went to confirm and it's not whether you aim at Strong Sad or Homestar.

I have a save from just entering the Space Station, and I tried it both ways. If you aim at Homestar, he kicks it into Strong Sad. If you aim at Strong Sad, he switches places with Homestar (and it hits Homestar). Either way, after they're hit, "Dangeresque Too" calls Uzi Bazooka "Toe-fu".
But I still had 4 either way. Could there be something about which items are given to Dr. X in which order (launch codes vs ruby)? I'm just not sure, and it takes so long to test it since you have to sit through the credits.

Another test. This time, my save was with 4 right before giving Dr. X the items (in this case, disk then ruby. I didn't see anything that looked like a reference, but after entering extended play, I had my 5. It's just so...puzzling.

Finally, confirmed. What does it? *drumroll*
Give Dr. X the ruby.

I went back to my save and gave Dr. X the ruby first. Before I handed it to him, 4/6. After, 5/6.
Not sure what the reference is, though.
"I got the ruby."
"Burble?"
"Sultry Buttons? Nawh, she's fine. She just needed a shot of Vitamin Dangeresque."
