Default Homestar Ruiner (ep1): can't hunt the stupid king with trap and chocolate thing!

Hello from Spain!

I'm a fan of your games since the the start and liking adventure games too much. I bought CG4AP first episode over wiiware for my Wii (thanks Nintendo for SDHC and able to run channels/games with it!) and the experience is quite good.

But sometimes things are not so good and I start to hate even more than usually. I hate that moron that eats even his damn foot, also known as king.

How to hunt him on the trap so he stops eating the chocolate? I did the 3 traps, tried to put chocolate on all them and door too and put the Total Load(TM) on the one in the front of the door but less near and that animal got transformed into... a soccer hooligan? A Critter? A St** W**** fan? A FPS gamer? Whatever...

How to solve it? Help me or... I will suicide or even worser... convert into a hardcore FPS player!

Regards.

PS: My English level is enough for playing SBCG4AP, but Spanish translation would make adventure fans very happy! I'm sure you could find translating it for free!

First, if you have not yet trimmed a hedge with shears, do so now. Collect the trimmings. You also need the poopsmith's shovel. If you have not got it go back to the kots castle and grab it. Dig a hole at the loose soil and put trimmings over it. Put the candy by the doormat and watch it unfold. Give the phone back to Homestar.

Yes, that's what I meant with "trap". The trimmings are there and the king was near to fall but he noticed the trap. I wasted tons of chocolate and my only success probably is making him more fat, maybe I can make him die of a heart attack due to choresterol.

This was a post I made on another topic, it should help you out, though it seems as it's some kind of bug.

Here's the quote from Telltale's walkthrough:
"... put your shovel to good use by digging a hole in the loose dirt near the mailbox. If you just leave an open hole, the King of Town will see it and go around it. Take the hedge clippings from your inventory and put them over the hole. Now use the candy on Marzipan's door. The King of Town falls right into the hole you dug, and Marzipan has time to come out and get the candy. She calls Homestar and leaves him a message to thank him for the gift."

Good luck!

Damn, so I must back before making the traps? No other less painless solution? Not sure if I saved before that.

Are those evil bugs going to be hunted and killed someday? I'm worried as they are bad for my mental health and maybe they can eat my Wii!

I hope next episodes are lots less buggy, tip one could be named Strong Bad: Buggy Game for Wii People or Wii fun Ruiner :P

Or maybe bugs are some kind of twisted puzzle as extra for Wii players...

Default This bug is still here?

It's 2010, for goodness sakes! Why can't I progress past this part, even following Telltale's official walkthrough guide? Someone, please put out a patch for this simple logic bug. It may have something to do with enhancing the creatures in the hole before setting the candies down. In any case, it's REALLY frustrating to get so close to the end only to be stymied by something so trivial.
