It's too bad you didn't like the Teen Girl Squad mini-games, but the reason there's not one in every episode
isn't that Telltale thought they were lackluster. It's because we already made two of them, and there's no point in putting in variations on the same thing just for the sake of squeezing it in there. (The only reason they're in episode 3 at all is because they're crucial to a puzzle).
When Telltale was making Season 1, we kept hearing the complaint repeated over and over that the episodes were getting too formulaic. ("Sybil gets a new job every episode, Bosco is selling something in disguise every episode"). That's a staple of TV sitcoms, so it seemed like a natural fit for episodic comedy games, but players complained they were tired of seeing it. So we changed it for Season 2, and for SBCG4AP, we went even further and did everything we could think of to make each episode feel different.
And now we're hearing some complaints that each episode doesn't have the exact same format. ("Why are we being cheated out of a Teen Girl Squad game this episode?!?") Make up your minds, internet!
