Now that I am done with Bioshock 1 I am on to Bioshock 2, and it was a horrible experience before I even started the game. First there is the need of Windows Live ID to even play the game, and as that installed wrong so the game kept crashing I had to reinstall it.
When that problem was fixed DirectX 10 kept making the game crash. Forcing it to use DX9 got it to work, but I don't have DX10 to see bloggy texture. Now it's set to run as administrator and it runs fine on DX10 now with no crashes. But only time will tell if it's going to last.

Ok now that that rant is over. The game so far is quite good, a bit harder than Bioshock 1 but I like that.

Ya know, you could just get a DS. Just sayin'.

Playing Duke3D (still) as I sort out all the mods I've downloaded for it. Also figured out why Vixens 2 wasn't working properly, but I won't go into details - except to say that fixing the fight with Lara involves copy-pasting some code from the original game since the new battle was bugged up the wazoo.

(Incidentally, has anyone played the 'Sonic the Hedgehog 3D' TC for Duke3D? It's really weird and the cutscenes are full of Engrish, but it's fun and I can't help feeling that the Sonic Adventure games should have played more like this.)

Also still going through Lego Star Wars Complete on the 360. I've unlocked so many different cheats (Perfect Deflect, Explosive Shots, etc) that I am now a walking god. Definitely helps with the grind of replaying the game for what feels like the 100th time just to get some sodding achievements.

I have a DS. How else am I supposed to play Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks when I get there? The issue is that I need my A Link to the Past save file from right now to be compatible with my multiplayer GBA emulator so I can play Four Swords by myself when the time comes.

I've tried playing two games of Four Swords at once. Trust me, you need a second player. The game's hard as and of itself, but the bosses are absolutely impossible. Bribe someone if need be, but get someone else to do it with you, because otherwise it's an absolute nightmare.

I've managed to get through Sea of Trees and Talus Cave in the second quest when I borrowed a friend's copy of A Link to the Past. I think I also managed Death Mountain but didn't get enough rupees for a key. Unfortunately, there's only one person left who I could possibly persuade to play it with me, and it's a long shot. And then I'd still need the A Link to the Past save file for the emulator because I no longer know anybody around here who owns the original GBA cart, besides myself.

And I hear that the DSi/3DS version of Four Swords that came out recently has a new single player mode, but the most upgraded DS model I own is a DS Lite.

Finished A Link to the Past. Next is Link's Awakening.

Edit: May have to play this one via emulation. My cartridge is acting up in all sorts of ways.

Edit x2: I'd rather play the original Link's Awakening DX cartridge, so I decided the best route was to put the cartridge into my Game Boy Player, get it working, and leave it there until I'm done, so I guess I won't have another portable Zelda to play until I hit Oracle of Ages. I swear, this cartridge is more finicky than an NES cartridge.

I dug up my old copy of Broken Sword 3: The Sleeping Dragon and I'm playing it now. Awesome game if you disregard the box puzzles.

i got hydrophobia off the PSN for free. It's just alright in my opinion. It has the same type of Adventure gameplay you get from Uncharted or some of the later Tomb Raider games. But the story, although an interesting concept, isn't really as engaging as it could be. The water effects are impressive enough as you see a lot of it. There are plenty of chances for enviromental takes downs such as drowning, explosions, and electricty.

It has all the ingredients for an entertaining game. But the fact is that it's just adverage at best. It short too but after you beat the game they're are challenge rooms that you can take part in.

So overall, a very adverage game but worth a playthrough if you are a PS+ memeber. But I wouldn't say it's worth buying it. And the added Playstion Move controls that they added are not necessary and just down right harder to use.

Gemini Rue. So far, it's...interesting. I just reached the point where I can switch between characters, and I'm not really sure who I should be working on right now.

Just started on Champions Online, and my god there are A LOT of character customisation.
It is so staggering I sat with it for hours trying to make a good looking Super Hero.

I am sure I am going to spent some time with this game, if not only for the character creation.

Dead Island, and I'm having a lot of fun despite a few bugs and general control problems. There was this one bug which was very annoying - after going down some stairs into an underground transformer station and switching it on I could only get back up the stairs if I went very slowly, otherwise I would only be able to struggle (and I mean struggle) up to near the top of the stairs where an invisible barrier would push me back down again. But luckily that has only happened that one time and I've not encountered any other bug as annoying.

Also watching a lot of Burn Notice got me in the mood to replay GTA: Vice City, though I can only guess that the reason is the fact that one is set in Miami and the other is based on it. It would have probably made more sense if I got the urge from watching Miami Vice but there you got.

Actually, my will to replay San Andreas is much stronger especially after the GTA V trailer but having it crash every time it got to a certain point in a cut scene very early on (I think it's the 4th one overall, just after the funeral scene and the point where it crashes is when a car explodes) and I've no idea how to get past it, if I can at all (skipping the scene doesn't work either, annoyingly). I dare say I would be nearer to a solution if the Steam forums weren't still down as just about every result of my Google search leads to those forums. So while I wait I'll play Vice City. Which is still fun.

Oh, hey, since I don't have Skyrim, I should play Morrowind or Oblivion.

But I would end up playing for four days and then completely drop it when Assassin's Creed comes out. I think I'll stick with the indie games and Zelda for now.

And Dashing, since Tope isn't on, I'll say it for her. You should name it "Butts".

I personally like "Butts" because it has the feel that you're not even trying.

No, my standard RPG name "None" has the feeling of not even trying.

This is mainly because the first time I used it, playing Fallout, I didn't actually know that I could change the character's name and so he was named None.
