It was a little while ago so the details are foggy in my head, but I think someone in the forum once managed to have Max facing the wrong way and see where Max pulls his gun out of.

I think they reported that Max basically pulled the gun out of thin air, but with a slight little hand movement so you couldn't quite see it happening.
