Sam & Max Season 2 DVD registry error
When I put the DVD in the drive and it attempts to autorun, I get 2 error windows:
The first says "Error accessing the system registry". When I click OK on that, the second says "Unexpected error; quitting". I managed to install the game by directly running the setup program located on the disc. However, when I double-click the newly created shortcut to run the game, it gives me the same 2 error windows and quits. I'm running Windows Vista SP1 with an Intel dual core processor, 2 GB RAM, and a GeForce 9800 GT video card. I haven't experienced any registry-related issues with any other games or software. Please advise. |

I would try turning off UAC and see if that works. Vista can be persnickety when it comes to write access especially to the registry.
