I will be 21 on Saturday (the 29th) and despite looking years older than that, I still get carded every where I go.

When I was about 5, I had a demo disc from Lucas Arts. I mostly played 'Dark Forces,' which was far from an Adventure game [though still fun ] but one day I booted up 'Full Throttle' and fell in love. I instantly begged my mum for the full game, and I ended up having to wait almost a year, but it was worth it! I still have it, and I still love it. I'm now 16.

It only gets worse as you get older...

I'm 16. I really want to be at least 18 or a little bit over, but that's for personal reasons.

Gosh, how on earth do I remember, which game I first played way back, when I got my first PC!! :O

Anyway, I guess I much have been around the age of 22-23 - am now 42 - and it was probably a Sierra game. Hmm, maybe Leisure Suit Larry

I guess I was about 12 when I first discovered adventure games. A friend of mine got a new computer and we played several FPS like Duke Nukem and Wolfenstein. Then one day we got hold of a copy of Monkey Island, and we both fell in love (with the game of course)

After that followed MI2. Then probably full throttle and later on Grim Fandango, The Longest Journey and Broken Sword. Then I were about 16 I guess...

I have played some Sierra adventure games later on like Gabriel Knight and Leisure Suit Larry, but never really felt the same way about them(altough I must be the only person that really hated GK2 and loved GK3). Sierra makes great games, but when it comes to adventure games, I'm more a LucasArts person...

I didn't play Sam and Max HTR before I was 18. Now I'm 20.

I was only 5 when my brother got "Sam and Max: Hit the road."
Was better at it than he was, and he was 13 :P
after that i picked up "Day of the tentacle," was fun, but i never got another one till i saw the new Sam and Max.
A year of begging parents = Epic win.

For me, I think the first adventure game was "Le Manoir de Mortevielle" (Mortville Manor) on Atari ST from the french company Lankhor but I found it too difficult for me (but a really great game). It was with Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (on Atari ST too) I realise I like adventure games (in fact, much more the funny ones). It was in 1990, I was 12-13. I'm 29 now. I won a compilation called "Plančte Aventure" from Ubi Soft (the french publisher for LucasFilm Games) with "Indiana Jones and the last crusade" and "Maniac Mansion"... And I found Maniac Mansion really great (it was the first adventure game I finished without the solution). Shortly, I had "Zak McKracken" and "The Secret of Monkey Island"... For Monkey Island, I remember that it was really annoying to change disk really often... And when I finished it, it was very late (like 1 or 2 am) and I found the message at the end of the game : "Eteignez votre ordinateur et allez-vous coucher" (Shutdown your computer and go to sleep) really funny because so true

Then, it was a break with adventure games because the new LucasArts adventure games was not anymore available for Atari ST but for Amiga, PC and Mac... I remember the first time i saw DOTT and Sam&Max was from a neighbour... I had to wait until my first PC in 1995 to play again... I bought every LucasArts from the LucasArts classics collection until... Sam&Max Hit The Road ! (and later all the new ones)

I guess I was about 10 years old. My first game was "Lost Secret of the Rainforest," one of the Sierra EcoQuest games. For a science nut like me, I loved scanning everything and learning about stuff (this same trait appeared later in life when I played Metroid Prime). Shortly after, I got my hands on "The Search for Cetus" and had a blast with that as well.

Seeing how I liked these type of games, Mom got me a copy of Willy Beamish, not fully realizing what kind of game it is/was exactly. Hooooooo boy...

I also remember Full Throttle in my high school years.
