Good times indeed! We expected the pirate to start growing immediately and we could barely tell if anything was happening after a day, so people started staging their desk toys to make it more entertaining. We even tried moving them around stop-motion style to see if we could tell a story... After a while we got bored of it, which of course is when the pirate really started growing.
Also, don't forget about the
Puppet Theater of Failure. It must have been the late-night spontaneity of the moment because somehow everyone involved was committed to making this idea happen. We got Kim Lyons making the puppets, Dave Bogan drawing the curtains, Kevin brought in his pets, Emily controlled the puppets, Jake and Doug set up the camera and the projector... I even took the time to make the floating cursor. I'm not sure if this ever actually made it into interim theatre, but it was our first stab at trying to do something unique.
