I worry a bit about this getting the Terminator 3 problem... Terminator 3 was bad because it didn't seem to follow the steps that made Terminator 2 such a great sequel, because it was too busy trying to recreate Terminator 2. While T2 was revolutionary and risky, T3 just came across as a bad rehash of T2.
I think for Telltale to make this work they'd have to not listen to the fans at all, and instead focus on making a sequel as creative and refreshing as DoTT was, rather than just recreating DoTT.
