The episodes will be downloadable initially. You'll receive an email each month when a new episode releases, with a download link.

When all five episodes have released episodically, we'll put out a Collector's DVD that includes the games plus bonus content. As a season customer, you can get this for free if you want it, but you will need to place an order to pay for the shipping.

I am very excited about this new "Tales Of Monkey Island" release by Telltale Games. Looks fantastic!

To bad I can't pre-order and get all these wonderful exclusives that comes
if you pre-order now. For me that lives in Sweden I am sad to say that I am
going to have to wait for a DVD release of the full season 1 of "Tales Of Monkey Island". The big issue for me is the paying choices!

If I could pay via mobile-SMS then it wouldn't be a problem for me.

Hmm...this is the big issue for digital download of games today. That a few
can't pay because of the limit of paying choices. Not that I want to complain on anything rather bringing up my view on the matter.

Once again "Tales Of Monkey Island" looks fantastic and wonderful done by Telltale Games and all others involved in the project!
Credit from me Chris!

You are not alone. I can't get it either cos my bank wont give me a debit card. A normal bank card is useless for stuff like this

I really hope Telltale release a physical copy soon - why can't these episodes be released to disc seperately? Cost? I hate the idea of having to wait until November at least for my favourite game I'm dreading the day when everything is digital only, or first choice for any company.

Doesn't anybody of you use PayPal? They work with normal bank accounts... at least here in Germany.

Why don't you ask your bank for a prepaid credit card for your Internet purchases? I live in Spain which is nowhere as technologically advanced as Sweden and we have those

lol at first I thought you were angry at me when I saw a "" symbol.
But then I read the entire text.

I do love digital downloads for games and other media. But the catch
is of course the choice for payment. I'm sorry to say but I don't trust
to expose my credit card online. I mean maybe a lot of people don't have
a problem with exposing their credit card online but I do. Offline is another
thing.

So I don't cry or blaming for not being able to buy any of the episodes
online with no other pay options. Instead I am going to nicely wait for a DVD
release with all of the episodes.

Telltale Games is good on making games, I must say!!!

UPDATE: I´ll think about PayPal though....

How Do I Become Verified?
Just Add and Confirm a Bank Account. We will send your account two small deposits. Enter these deposits on the PayPal website. Answer a quick confirmation phone call from our third-party authentication service to validate your information, and you're all set.

Yeh I did that. Then it asked for a credit card or debit to fully verify. It wont let me send instant payments without that

I think I'm going to have to ask family members to buy it for me :P Im too impatient to wait months when everyone else is playing it. hehe

Haha I don't like using that smiley. I'd rarely use it against someone, no worries ^_^

I envy your patience. I'm awful, if everyone else has it I must have it too. When it comes to Monkey Island (or Final Fantasy LOL) I revert back to a child haha

Possibly. It makes sense I guess, but what doesn't is that not many sites cater for my kind of paypal. They could easily just hold off delivering the item until the echeque (which is what my paypal is) clears. Only one store seemed to accept mine.

Your best bet is to ask your bank for a debit card with online cover, you do not need any credit facility, and there should be no age or income criteria to qualify. Most basic accounts should have this option, just make sure you put the money in the bank before you use the card.

There is also a direct debit service available on paypal that will tranfer funds directly from your bank account. However as far as I'm aware it is currently only available in the UK, Germany and the Netherlands. The rest of the EU should be onboard by the end of next year (2010).

Can I use PayPal if I live in Sweden to be able to pay if I don't want to use a credit card?

Chris, you should be fine using your card online, believe it or not it is safer to use online than in a shop. I have been buying online for almost 15 years (since it all began!) without a single fraud issue. Just make sure you use it at reputable sites over a secure connection - look for that padlock!

Also bear in mind that a bricks and mortar or over the phone mail order shop also has to send your card details via a phone/internet connection in order to authourise your card. So your details are going though a wide system regardless of the point of sale. It just so happens that buying online cuts many of the weaker links in the chain out, mainly humans.

Yes, but you would still need to fund paypal via your credit card (or other bank account). Maybe you could contact your bank and do a direct transfer to the recieving account. Of course not all companies have this option for payment but it's another possibility.

Let me get this right.

I create a PayPal account and then transfer some money to my PayPal account. And then I can pay for the full season of "Tales Of Monkey Island" via PayPal to Telltale Games account right?

Or have I missunderstood how the PayPal system works?
