Post Who knows/watches Happy Tree Friends?

Happy Tree Friends is a very popular internet show that is shown from an animation group called Mondo Mini Shows. It stars 20 animal characters that look very based on a children's show, but end up dying in many zany episodes. Those of you who know this show, tell me what you like about it. Thoses of you who are thinking WTF?!, ask me for a link, and i'll post it right away.

I watched an episode once and was slightly scarred inside. I don't really like that type of thing

My physics teacher loved that show. I've never seen it myself, but he would always tell my class what happened in the latest episodes, so I never really felt the need.

I can't help loving it. It's basically 80's slasher films getting straight to the point (creative and ridiculous kills, no plot necessary).

Just a shame that the game was so awful. A shoddy Lemmings clone that can be beaten in 30 minutes? Yeah... no.

I haven't watched it in ages, but from what I remember, it is a strangely entertaining cartoon.

The violence probs has a thing to do with that...

don't pay attention to him Homestarlover, he's just like that

as for HTF, yeah i've seen it long time ago, i've forgotten about it

I like the idea of happy childish looking creatures + blood now, didn't like it the first time I watched it.

The stories are very poor though, if it had some dark humour in it like Invader Zim I'd love it but it just tries to give you moral advices.which I hate when any media does that ... I like the absurd fiction nowadays, the kind of story that doesn't make any moral judgement of the characters.

and I hate the theme song, I mean it, it just gets stuck in my head, damn, thinking about it made me remember it

Funny you should mention it, when I was on holiday in Spain this summer I saw a few episodes on TV, was one of the only things on the Tv which was in english. First time i'd seen it in like 3/4 years. There was a craze like 3/4 years back, where I knew quite a lot of people who would watch it. Guess it died out.

That's part of the parody. The idea that such psychotic violence is justified by a well-worn platitude at the end is meant to be a joke, not a lesson.

It's like the old scare films they used to show us in elementary school. Half an hour of horrific violence (sometimes real, sometimes re-enacted, always even more twisted than the most splattery of splatter horror movies) followed by "watch out for cars" or somesuch message.

What elementary school did you go to!? We weren't even allowed to watch a Mary Kate and Ashley movie at my elementary school because somebody was smoking a cigarette at the beginning!
