Controlling Wallace and Gromit with the keyboard and mouse
"It's actually pretty easy to understand!"
Welcome to the control guide for Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures. The control system works a bit differently from our previous titles, so we put together this guide to reveal the new control-related secrets to be found in these games. When playing as Wallace or Gromit, you'll move them around by using the keyboard, but a substantial amount of the interaction in the game can still be done by using the mouse. Typically, some combination of mouse and keyboard will be ideal for playing this game on the PC (in lieu of a gamepad), but it's also possible to play these episodes entirely from the keyboard if you'd prefer to do that.
The first thing you might notice about the tables below is that there are a lot of ways to do the same things in the game, so you should be able to find a comfortable mix of these based on your own preferences.

Helpful Thing: "Hotspots"
If you're stuck, and not sure what to do in a certain room, you can hold the "Tab" key to reveal all the selectable areas in the current camera view. You might find something you previously overlooked! Unfortunately, video cards that do not support the depth of field effects in Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures will not be able to show the hotspots (like in the screenshot below). If you don't see anything different when you hold "Tab" in the game, you can still cycle through all selectable objects in view by using the Q, E, 7, and 9 keys, though!
