Walkthrough: Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures Demo

Welcome to Interact-o-Vision! The tutorial section provides a quick puzzle to solve while you figure out how to move around and do the things you need to do in Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures. The Wallace & Gromit demo opens with Gromit engaged in a game of chess with a specially-built chess-playing contraption. However, the game looks to be at a standstill. Walk over to Gromit and talk to him (following the instructions on your screen); he'll point out that his bishop has been snapped in two, and the game can't go on without a replacement piece. Next, interact with the broken chess piece, and Wallace will volunteer to find a stand-in for the bishop.
Move Wallace over to the table by the dustbin and bed lever. Pick up the pepper shaker, and Wallace will place it in his inventory. Walk Wallace back over to Gromit, and use the inventory to select the pepper shaker. Give it to Gromit. Unfortunately for him, the chess robot will use it to send the poor pooch into sneezing fits.

This marks the end of the tutorial, but there's still plenty of demo left!
Outside
Part two opens with Wallace emerging from the house into his yard facing West Wallaby Street. He's greeted by his neighbor Felicity Flitt, and local war hero Major Crum is sitting on the bench by the bus stop. Your mission is to gather some flowers for Wallace's bee collection, and Miss Flitt seems to have quite a lot of them. Walk over and talk to her, and she'll offer you all the flowers you want, on the condition that you grow them yourself! She tosses you a bag of seeds that Wallace will pocket.

Well, that's no good. Step outside your front yard by opening the fence. Walk down the street a bit and have a chat with Major Crum. He'll put forward a theory about an imminent enemy invasion, based on some evidence he's keeping inside a jar. Touch the jar to reveal his proof: a small snail he has found. He entreats you to spread the word about it using his evidence, so go ahead and pick up the snail when he's done talking.

Head back to your yard and use the snail on Felicity. She'll be quite disturbed at a snail in her garden, and start wailing, sending Crum into a panic! Just as that happens, Wallace is snatched up by a giant queen bee! Gromit's got to save his master from being turned into royal jelly.
The Chase!

Gromit's driving their special "From Bee to You" honey tanker, and manages to catch up to the queen bee. He's got to raise the ladder so Wallace can climb down from her clutches. Examine the central console in the vehicle, which will take you to a closer view of the interior. Open the glove box and grab the crank, and switch on autopilot (by hitting the "autopilot" button) so that Gromit can focus on saving Wallace. Next, click the middle button in the top row of buttons (above the radio tuner). This will open the sunroof. Exit the close-up view and climb through the sunroof by clicking on the opening. Use the crank on the ladder control box.

Unfortunately, just as the ladder is raised, they drive straight through some sort of farm structure, which bends the ladder out of shape, and lands a chicken squarely on the windshield. Climb back down into the vehicle and touch the left-hand button in the top row of buttons. This will start the wiper blades, and liberate the chicken from its predicament (I'm sure it'll be fine). It leaves behind a feather. Climb through the top of the vehicle once more and grab the feather. Climb up on top of the ladder by clicking on it, and use the feather on the queen bee. She'll drop Wallace back into the vehicle, but she's not quite done yet! Unfortunately, this demo is.
