Not many people do. Nice avatar, by the way!

  • It offends me in that it's a douche bag making an unfunny joke on the Internet and cracking up at himself, but the subject of the joke itself doesn't really bother me.

  • By the way don't remember if this was mentioned before but this wasn't a live show that was recorded was it? Which means by saying sorry, he understands that he made a mistake and said something he shouldn't have but he actually had time to correct it before uploading it to youtube. Which means he doesn't actually care about it, therefore his apology is kind of invalid. If he really did think it was morally wrong, he could have just muted that part.

It wasn't live. He doesn't like editing and wants to upload his videos as quickly as possible. He said sorry because he didn't actually mean it in an offensive way but he wouldn't remove it because he doesn't feel that the joke shouldn't be taken seriously and that it wasn't a big deal.

FUCK YOU. I don't see you using Middle fucking English, your vocabulary is no less "distorted" than anybody else's.

  • So if he is using the words original meaning the joke is really happy?

Way to show the "tolerance" that homosexuals push for. They're only tolerant as long as it's their way or else you're a bigot/hatemonger/homophobe. Also, cursing is not at all an uncommon reaction.

I never said I was using the original meaning of the word. I was just using it the best way it can possibly be used given how badly misshapen it is.

    Edit
I personally feel this thread is headed in a mostly southward direction given Rather Dashing's outburst and should probably be closed shortly.

I have no idea how you got that from his comment about your vocabulary.

Through the 50s and 60s and even today through the phrase "a gay old time" the word meant happy. It's hardly a "Middle English" definition that is completely archaic. It's only though a push to desensitize Americans to homosexuality and see them as "happy, normal people" that the word gay even came to refer to a homosexual. In a nutshell, that's exactly where I got that idea.

  • Guys, seriously. This thread has been derailed way too far. Closed.
